Wrap AROUND extension Drayton
We completed this structure only wrap around extension forming a kitchen diner and utility room. Taking care of the ground works, brick work, structural work, glazing including bifolding doors and the roofing. We also simultaneously extended the garage to form a gym.
Having removed the old conservatory and boarded up the back of the property to minimise disruption and keep the house secure. We then began the ground works by leveling the site digging the footings and concreting.
Once the customer had chosen the brick they wanted we got on with building the walls! In this case we laid a traditional red faced multi brick which is in keeping with the area.
With the walls built it was time to remove the original dividing walls and install the Rsjs. This created a large open plan extension transforming the downstairs of the house.
Next we constructed the pitched roof. Due to planning constraints we had to keep the pitch very low which meant using a specialist low pitch roofing membrane this allowed us to still fit clay plain tiles matching the main roof and whilst also guaranteeing the roof was weather tight. We also installed three electric velux roof windows which can be operated by remote and automatically close when it rains. On the flat roof section of the extension we installed a large roof lantern and finished the roof using a Grp waterproofing system.
