Single Storey Extension, Fareham

This single storey extension to a semi detached property in Fareham added much needed space and greatly improved the downstairs layout of this property. The extension consisted of a light and airy kitchen-diner with bi-folding doors, which can be folded back to bring the outside in. We also added a new downstairs bathroom/utility room.

We started by demolishing the original conservatory, blocking the doorway to the existing kitchen so to minimise disruption to the rest of the property. Next we completed the groundworks digging and concreting the footings ready for the block work to begin.

Three skylights, bifold doors and spotlights give this extension a light and spacious feel; perfect for entertaining day or night! The doors were installed with minimal threshold giving a seamless transition to the garden. Lastly we fitted the kitchen, tiled the walls and prepared the floors ready for Karndean to be fitted.

Once the walls were built the roof was added and the double glazing was fitted. We then removed the original back wall of the property to open the space up to the rest of the house, creating an open plan kitchen-diner.
