reclaimed two storey extension

This project required us to build on top of an existing single storey extension adding a second floor allowing us to extend the master bedroom. Then completely rebuilding the main roof of the property, changing the roof pitch adding a half gable and building the rear loft dormers. The requirements of the customer and local planning was that this conversion was as sympathetic as possible!

With this brief in mind we reclaimed the bricks from the properties original back wall that had to be taken down with the additional bricks coming from the local reclamation yard. We laid the imperial bricks for the main body of the walls then built the feature arches and corners in smooth reclaimed reds as would have been done originally. We also reclaimed the existing roof tiles which matched the surrounding properties and installed a matching hanging tile on the dormer walls.
