Open plan kitchen and living room
The Project
We removed a load bearing wall and installed a structural steel to create an open plan kitchen and dining room in this lovely Victorian terrace in Portsmouth.
This renovation project included an adaption to the internal layout by removing the wall dividing the kitchen and living room and blocking up the previous entrance to the kitchen. Once the wall was removed we installed a new steel, replastered, lay new herringbone wood flooring throughout and fitted the new kitchen supplied by Howdens.
As well as the internal works, we also removed the wooden frame and doors of the lean to and the old translucent roof and replaced with beautiful heritage, aluminium, crittal doors. We levelled and tiled the floor and installed new kitchen worktops, to create a bright and organised utility room.
